Mobile Tour Locations

A MobileBooth is an Airstream trailer outfitted with a recording studio that travels the country year-round collecting stories. We partner with local organizations and groups to reach out to the widest range of people in each community. StoryCorps Alaska

From October 15, 2008, through April 30, 2009, the StoryCorps Alaska Initiative will make stops of up to six months each in Fairbanks, Nome, Barrow, Dillingham, Unalaska and Juneau, partnering with Alaska Public Radio Network, University of Alaska Fairbanks, other historical and cultural institutions, and membership organizations, to record and distribute the stories of Alaskans. Griot Tour

The Griot Tour to collect the stories of African Americans ended on February 16, 2008, but you can still participate in the Griot Initiative at any StoryCorps location. Please be sure to indicate that you want your interview included in the Griot archive at the National Museum of African American History and Culture when you make a reservation, and when you arrive at your interview. Other ways to participate
