MobileBooth Intern

StoryCorps launched two MobileBooths from the Library of Congress in Washington DC in May, 2005. We have stopped in over 60 cities and towns across the country; visiting communities large and small; and stopping in a maximum-security prison, an Army Base and a Native American reservation. We partner with local public radio stations in each location and it is our goal to bring StoryCorps to travel the Booths far and wide to capture the widest variety of the American experience. The MobileBooth Intern is an integral part of StoryCorps team staffing the two MobileBooths. As a member of the team, MobileBooth interns attend all MobileBooth staff meetings and have regular meetings with their supervisor, MobileBooth Coordinator.

Projects will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Correspond with StoryCorps participants on the Mobile Tour.
  • Support outreach efforts and bring in a diverse pool of participants to the MobileBooths.
  • Background research into history and culture of locations on MobileBooth tour.
  • Data entry and data tracking.
  • General administrative tasks and problem solving as needed.
