The StoryCorps Facilities & Archive Department manages the upkeep of the booths and recording equipment, as well as maintaining the in-house archive and transferring materials to the Library of Congress.
The Facilities & Archive team is looking for an intern to assist with the management of its recording booths and other equipment.
Responsibilities may include but will not be limited to:

  • Assist in solving facilities-related and recording issues.
  • Perform regular equipment inspections.
  • Research and implement repairs and upgrades to equipment and facilities.
  • Maintain equipment inventory.
  • Provide technical support around recording processes to staff.
  • Perform quality control on interview materials.

Strong attention to detail, organizational and interpersonal skills are required, as is a proficiency with computers (Mac OSX preferred).  Experience working with audio recording is necessary and familiarity with basic digital photography equipment is a plus.  A strong belief in the organization’s mission is a must.
